We celebrate creativity across a wide spectrum of theater and film, offering opportunities for both emerging and established creators to share their work. FILM SHOWCASE
The Film Showcase at the WSO Theatre & Film Festival (WSOTFF) celebrates innovative storytelling from independent filmmakers across genres and backgrounds. Audiences will experience a dynamic collection of short films, episodic pilots, and digital projects that deliver compelling narratives, bold visual artistry, and fresh perspectives that challenge convention and ignite conversation.

Eligibility

Eligible works must have been completed on or after January 1, 2021.
Submission Terms

By submitting, you grant WOW Studio One Theatre & Film Festival (WSOTFF) permission to exhibit your work publicly during the festival. This may be before a live audience or, under special circumstances, in an online or hybrid format.

Playwrights and filmmakers are responsible for securing all necessary rights and permissions for their work.
Selection, Screening & Awards

Participants will be notified of their status by email. All selected works will also be featured on the festival’s website and social media platforms.

Please note that “Official Selection” and “Award Nominee” are distinct honors.

All works designated as an “Award Nominee” will be scheduled for a public screening or performance during the festival.

Works designated as an “Official Selection” (but not nominated for an award) will be recognized by the festival, though a public screening is not guaranteed.
Information for Selected Participants

All “Award Nominee” participants will receive a festival package, which includes all-access passes, networking opportunities, and promotional and interview features.

Attendance is mandatory for all Award Nominees.
-
For plays, participants are required to bxring their own actors. However, the festival can assist in arranging for local actors.
Festival Rights

The festival reserves the right to adjust programming based on the submissions received.
